Popular Yoruba movie actor, Damola Olatunji has used his most recent Instagram post to announce the death of his friend and movie colleague, Murphy Afolabi. He took to his Instagram page to share the post, where he revealed that everything we do is vanity upon vanity.
He shared the post alongside his picture, saying that he and his colleagues celebrated him on his birthday on the 5th of May, not knowing he was saying goodbye to them. He made it known that it does not matter whether a person is wise or a fool, saying that everyone will end up dead one day.
In the statement he made on his Instagram page, he said, "Murphy, but why? We all celebrated your birthday on the 5th of May, not knowing it was you saying goodbye. Vanity upon vanity, everything we do is vanity; empty, futile, short-lived. It doesn't matter if you're wise or a fool, ultimately, because everyone ends up dying. Rest on, bro."
This is sad news for the Yoruba movie industry, as the actor will be missed due to his professionalism and his talent. May God forgive him for his sins and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
